Ed Wimp has a rich background in the music industry and a strong commitment to supporting artists.
Before his legal career, Ed gained invaluable experience on the tour management teams of internationally renowned artists, including Earth, Wind & Fire and A$AP Rocky. This hands-on experience in the entertainment industry provided him with deep insight into the unique challenges and legal matters faced by artists and creatives. He then received his law degree from Florida A&M College of Law in order to help artists navigate the legal complexities of their business.
Ed authored the book “Building Fans, Fame & Wealth: The 18 Revenue Streams of Music” to provide a resource for artists looking to maximize their professional careers, and has spoken across the country at colleges, conferences, and music camps on the topic.
Ed also provides legal services to artists through Lawyers for the Creative Arts, advocating for their rights and helping them navigate the complex landscape of the entertainment business. His dedication to the arts extends beyond his legal practice; he actively serves on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, the Kaufherr Resource Center, and the Monmouth College Alumni Board. He also holds the position of treasurer for Opera Orlando.
As the founding chairman, director, and general counsel for Cultural Arts Everywhere, Ed leads initiatives to foster collaborative projects across various artistic disciplines, including performing arts, visual arts, film, literature, language, and culinary arts. His holistic approach promotes not only the rights of individual artists but also the collective growth of the arts community.
